The Knight, The Sorcerer, and The Dragon

By words from the crow did enter our Knight,
To save me before I vanished in flight.

You battled through storms to enter Draig’s lair,
For only to rescue the blood that you share.

Slung over your back relinquishing fear,
Crossed lines you galloped whilst darkness was near.

The Foxes howled “protector’s come home”,
You shielded me from lashing rains blown.

Bringing me back to the Northern castle,
To help heal my wounds, unbound by hassle.

The Sorcerer’s wisdom of ailments was vast,
Though energy drained by each remedy cast.

She let me rest as our Knight took guard,
Although my mind was impaled by a shard.

For this was beyond the sorcerer’s skill,
This needed great work from personal will.

I slept and mused ‘til the shard was small,
‘Til it no longer had any power at all.

When I finally woke from the Draig’s dark spell,
It was like I had been on a trip through hell.

But the castle’s walls were only so strong,
To hide away would be foolish and wrong.

As long as the Draig maintained his domain,
Our hero concluded he must be slain.
